1. Albert Burrows married Grace Whitcomb
Daughter: Helen Locke married Harold Webster
Grandchildren: Albert, Nancy, and Richard
Son: Lawrence married Gwen Godfrey
Grandchild: Christine
Larry met a tragic death in 1952, as a Navy pilot during
the Korean War.
Daughter: Marjorie Bell married Dr. Robert Goslaw,
superintendent of the Pennsylvania District for the
Church of the Nazarene.
Grandchildren: Fred, Glen, and Orval
Daughter: Lucille married Reverend Clifford Fisher,
a Navy Chaplain and now at Pasadena College [P.C.
was relocated and renamed “Point Loma” in 1973.]
Grandchildren: Susan, Clifford N., and Bonnie
Albert Burrows and Grace spent most of their years
together in Long Beach. Grace passed away May 1,
1950. Albert played the violin well, but his outstanding
talent was his ability as a mechanic. He loved children
and fixed their toys with interest and concern. First
Church in Long Beach was a second home to him.
He later married Grace’s sister, Frances, a widow, and
they had several good years together. In 1966, Albert
was injured in an accident as he and Frances were
en route to the first General Assembly he had ever
tried to attend. as a result, he passed away a few days
later. Albert, Grace, and Larry are buried in Sunnyside
Memorial Gardens in Long Beach. [Frances was later
buried in this cemetery, which is now called “Forest
Lawn, Long Beach.”]
